Ein Stück Buchgeschichte verabschiedet sich und anscheinend ist das iPad nicht ganz unschuldig daran. Dies behauptet jedenfalls ein Artikel im englischen telegraphs. Dort wird Simon Winchester, seines Zeichens britischer Autor und Journalist, wie folgt zitiert: "Until six months ago I was clinging to the idea that printed books would likely last for ever. Since the arrival of the iPad I am now wholly convinced otherwise."
Seit 1884 erschien in regelmäßigen Abständen das Oxford English Dictionary.
